Course Load
A course load of nine (9) or more credits in the fall or spring semester, or a total of at least six (6) credits for all summer sessions combined, is considered full time for graduate students. A course load of six to eight (6-8) credits in the fall or spring semester, or a total of three to five (3-5) credits for all summer sessions combined, is considered part-time for graduate students. Registration for more than 12 credits requires permission from the student’s advisor and the school's associate dean. Some programs require permission to take more than nine (9) credits in a semester. Check the program-specific section of the catalog for more information. Students in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program will occasionally be enrolled in up to 16 credits.
