Health Care Management/Information Technology Dual Degree (M.S./M.S.)
The M.S. in health care management and M.S. in information technology dual-degree program is designed to meet the needs of those students who wish to work in the growing field of health care information technology. Students will develop strategies for implementing information technology systems specifically designed to aid health care professionals in managing patient records, payments, and other financial data, among other things.
Upon successful completion of all dual-degree requirements, students will receive both an M.S. in health care management and an M.S. in information technology. Admission Requirements: In addition to universitywide requirements for graduate admission and School of Business Administration requirements, students applying to the Health Care Management/Information Technology dual degree must meet the admission requirements of each of the two programs.
Minimum Grade Requirements: A minimum grade of C is required to receive credit for a course in this dual degree program. All graduate students in the School of Business Administration must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
A student whose cumulative GPA falls below 3.0 will be placed on academic probation. The student must bring his or her cumulative GPA to 3.0 or higher within nine graduate credits or be dismissed. A student whose cumulative GPA falls below 3.0 a second time will be dismissed.
