Information Technology, Data Science, and Cybersecurity
Marymount University offers an extensive range of graduate educational programs to prepare students for the exciting and growing fields of information technology, and data science and cybersecurity in particular.
The programs are designed for individuals who want to expand their technology knowledge base in general or in specific areas; for career changers coming to the lucrative technology field from other disciplines; and for individuals working in the information technology field who wish to reskill in the newer areas of emerging technology.
The Marymount program is recognized as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CDE), a group of elite universities recognized by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the National Security Agency (NSA).
Master’s degree programs include:
- M.S. in cybersecurity
- M.S. in emerging technology
- M.S. in information technology
Doctoral degrees include:
- D.Sc. in cybersecurity, post-baccalaureate
- D.Sc. in cybersecurity, post-master's
In addition, the program includes a variety of stackable certificates, which information technology professionals can use to gain new skills, or they can form a concentration in any of the master’s degrees.

The program also includes two graduate certificates for educators who wish to earn the 18 credits necessary to teach dual-enrollment classes at the high school level or at a community college:

Finally, the M.S. in information technology can be taken as a dual-degree combination with one of the following:
- M.S. in cybersecurity
- M.B.A.
- M.S. in health care management
Similarly, the M.S. in cybersecurity can be taken as a dual-degree combination with the M.B.A.
