BIO 123 Pathways in STEM: 1st-Year Seminar

A seminar course for the Biology and Biochemistry major. This course will introduce students to the fields of Biological and Biochemical Sciences. Students will gain an understanding of the power of science to solve real world problems, be exposed to the impact science can have on our ability to serve our communities, and introduce students to the breadth of careers that are available to STEM students. Students will learn the importance of iterative science and its clear communication in peer reviewed journals. Students will be introduced to the many Marymount science focused clubs and professional societies they may wish to join and actively participate. Students must achieve a minimum grade of C-. (1)
