DATA 260 Discrete Structures

The purpose of this course is to understand and use (abstract) discrete structures that are the backbone of computer science. In particular, this class is meant to introduce logic, proofs, sets, relations, functions, counting, and graphs, with an emphasis on applications in computer science. This course provides the building blocks required for further study in the theory of computation. Students must earn a minimum of C to pass this class. Prerequisite:  MA 200 (3)
