IT 423 Senior IT Seminar
This course is designed to ensure students are ready for post-bachelor's graduation, whether for graduate school or for employment in government or industry. It focuses on preparing for, or reflecting on, the for-credit supervised experiential learning. Students prepare and present a detailed senior portfolio which includes evidence of their learning and skills development. They work on evaluating job position descriptions and tailoring resumes and cover letters to compete for these opportunities. They plan for post-graduation activities including careers and graduate school. They also work on plans for the capstone project and reflect on their projects that have been completed. Students will also focus on developing their soft skills, an employee requirement. Students will plan and give at least one significant group presentation supported by research. Students must achieve a minimum grade of C+. Prerequisite: IT 323 with a grade of C or higher. (1)
