Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (Minor)

Artificial intelligence (AI) is part of our digital world and the more that it is understood by people in the tech industry the better, software engineers, data scientists and cybersecurity professionals all included. This minor is for those in technical majors (Information Technology, Computer Science or Cybersecurity) who wish to explore artificial intelligence techniques, from both a technology perspective (hardware and software) and from an ethical perspective, the concept of trustworthy systems of value to society.

You will learn how AI applications are built, including robots, computer vision, sensors and IOT devices, and how they are used in government, industry, science, medicine, and everyday life.

To fulfill the requirements of the minor, all students will take the following coursework in the sequence determined in collaboration with an advisor.

Minimum Grade Requirement: A minimum grade of C is required in any course in this minor.

Residency Requirement: Students must complete at least 12 credits of the minor requirement at Marymount.
