IT 250 Robotics and Embedded Systems

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of embedded systems and robotics, placing a focus on comprehending how hardware, software, and the physical environment interact. Throughout this course, students are exposed to the basics of the on-board embedded systems in robot applications such as effectors, actuators, sensors, controllers, and their main components. It also covers other topics such as embedded processors, memory architectures, state machines, multitasking, and scheduling for real-time systems. Additionally, students are presented with the basic concepts, principles, and ideas of human-robot interaction and apply them to basic hands-on projects. Minimum passing grade is C.  Prerequisite: IT 112 with a passing grade of C or higher. (3)
