This course provides an overview of communication principles, theories, and practices with a special emphasis on public relations (PR) as a key area within the field. Students will explore the fundamentals of human communication, media's role in shaping public perceptions, and the evolution of PR as a strategic function in organizations. Students will examine how communication strategies influence public opinion, build relationships, and manage reputations. By the end of the course, students will have a foundational understanding of communication and public relations and the skills needed to critically assess and apply PR techniques in real-world scenarios. Communication majors must earn a grade of C- or higher. (3)
