COMM 312 Organizational Communication

Students will explore foundational theories and research of organizing, including classical approaches, human relations, human resources perspectives, cultural approaches, systems theory, and critical approaches to organizational structures and dynamics. The course emphasizes practical applications of these theories in organizational settings, covering topics such as socialization, stress and burnout, conflict management, teamwork, diversity, leadership, and motivation and feedback. Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of how effective communication functions as a central element in organizational management and success. Prerequisite: EN 102. (3)
