SLP 301 Foundations of Speech-Language Pathology I

This pre-professional course is designed for students who want to become speech-language pathology assistants or plan to apply to graduate school in speech-language pathology. The course will cover the anatomy and physiology of the speech and hearing systems, including how sound is produced and processed. Students will also learn about how the brain controls speech, language, and hearing. Through hands-on activities and real-world examples, students will build a strong understanding of the science behind communication disorders and how it applies to working in the field of speech-language pathology.
