State Aid Programs

Students who are residents of Virginia and Washington, D.C., may be eligible for state-sponsored grants and scholarships. To be considered, students should complete any required state-specific applications by the state’s deadline.

Institutional Aid

The university offers a range of institutional aid, including:

  • Merit-Based Scholarships: Awarded based on academic performance, leadership, or other achievements.
  • Need-Based Grants: Determined through the FAFSA and other institutional criteria.
  • Endowed and Donor-Funded Scholarships: Scholarships made possible through the generosity of alumni and other donors.
