SLP 525 Professional Duty in Interprofessional Educational and Medical Settings

Accountability, educational conduct, managing the day-to-day in educational and medical settings is required for today’s speech-language pathologist. This course will review on-the-job information required by speech-language pathologists including ethical conduct, integration of speech and hearing, self-assessment and self-reflection, clinical education, universal precautions, supervision and being a member of an interprofessional team. By the end of the course, students will have a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities and competencies required for effective, equitable and ethical practice in diverse settings. Students must achieve a minimum grade of B. (3)
