Gainful Employment Programs

Gainful Employment (GE) applies to academic programs that:

  •  Are Title IV-eligible (receive federal financial aid); and
  • Lead to a certificate or credential designed to prepare students for employment in a recognized occupation.

At Marymount University, the following non-degree certificate programs fall under Gainful Employment regulation:

  • Family Nurse Practitioner (Post-Master's Certificate)
  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Post-Master's Certificate)

For each GE program, the University is required to disclose:

  • Tuition and fees
  • Typical time to complete the program
  • Median loan debt incurred by program completers
  • Employment outcomes and earnings of graduates (if available)

These disclosures help students make informed decisions about whether to enroll in a particular program.
