IT 313 Computer Organization and Architecture

Students examine computer architecture and organization in depth. The course exposes students to computer hardware, programming in assembly language, digital logic and processor design, including both combinational and sequential logic and control, performance and pipelining, data and control hazards, memory hierarchy, and cache organization. Students also work with the Raspberry Pi to learn about its architecture and to experiment in the Internet of Things (IoT) field. Students must earn a minimum grade of C in the course (3).
