SLP 640 Stuttering and Voice across the Lifespan

Identification, prevention, evaluation and intervention for stuttering and voice, resonance, and upper airway disorders are explored. Emphasis is placed on culturally relevant assessment and intervention practices that address the needs of multilingual, racially, and culturally diverse populations. Students will learn to apply inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive strategies to support voice disorders and stuttering. Anti-racist pedagogy is integrated to promote awareness of biases and inequalities within the field, fostering a commitment to equitable and just speech-language pathology practices. Students must achieve a minimum grade of B. Corequisite: SLP 641 (2)
