SLP 675 Capstone: Internship in Speech-Language Pathology

This course is an internship course where students will accrue clinical clock hours and experiences for graduation requirements and eventual licensure and certification. Students will engage in two-eight-week (full-time) placements working both in pediatric and adult settings, and as much as possible a mix of educational and medical settings. In acknowledgement of the breadth and depth of the field, the goal of the internship is for students to demonstrate problem solving, independence and be clinically ready speech-language pathologists. Students must meet Marymount University’s standards for passing the internship to graduate and be recommended for licensure and certification. Prerequisites: SLP 510, SLP 515, SLP 520, SLP 525, SLP 610, SLP 611, SLP 612, SLP 620, SLP 621, SLP 622, SLP 630, SLP 631, SLP 632, SLP 640, and SLP 641. (6)
