This course is an internship course where students will accrue clinical clock hours and experiences for graduation requirements and eventual licensure and certification. Students will engage in two-eight-week (full-time) placements working both in pediatric and adult settings, and as much as possible a mix of educational and medical settings. In acknowledgement of the breadth and depth of the field, the goal of the internship is for students to demonstrate problem solving, independence and be clinically ready speech-language pathologists. Students must meet Marymount University’s standards for passing the internship to graduate and be recommended for licensure and certification.
